the MISHKA Children Foundation ("MISHKA"), together with the Rotaract Club of Khabarovsk members (a group of volunteers who work locally and regionally in the Khabarobsk region of Russia's far East to help local orphanages and nonprofit organizations carry out community service events), organized a visit to the Special Correction School in Khabarovsk, Russia to celebrate this special occasion.
The Special Correction School serves as a school, home and recreation center for orphans with physical disabilities. The Rotaract Club has been working with this school since October 2009. The members of the Rotaract Club ("Rotaractors") often visit the orphanage to spend time with children and bring them treats and presents.
On June 1st 2010, Rotaractors visited Special Correction School and brought children different developmental toys and games as well as candies and cookies to make this day more festive! Children also prepared a special concert for the Rotaractors to celebrate the holiday. Together with their teachers, children sang songs about Russia, happiness, and childhood. The children performed these songs with memorable energy, artistry, and dancing skills! After the concert, Rotaractors played with the children and their new toys. Seeing happiness and smiles on the children's faces was the best present for all the work done that day!
